I am also not too tall and a little bit chubby. Will that matter?

Hello Carmela, minimum height for certain airlines will be 157cm and for some 160cm. Your weight must be within your Body Mass Index (BMI). Some people are slim but with height limitation and some people are tall but slightly on heavier side. Start an exercise program and a healthy diet…trust me…if you put heart to it…you will achieve it

Why is that usa based airlines dont base in weight is equal to height issues.

iFly Global Staff replied 4 months ago

They don’t advertise this because it illegal is in USA to advertise such entry requirements based on someone’s weight. At the end of the day the airline will hire whoever they deem as most fit and suitable for the job, so by not being allowed to advertise what they really want, they are forced to waste a lot of people’s time, including their own, dealing with applicants that are not suitable for the job so as not to break any of their country’s discrimination laws.

Hi! I am an aspirant flight attendant from Bohol I would like to ask how do airlines measure applicants height what measuring tool in specific. Thank you☺ I hope you’ll answer me.

iFly Global Staff replied 2 weeks ago

Each airline may use a different method, such as a mark on a wall at the required height for the candidates to stand against and check if their height reaches the mark, or a “stadiometer” which is specifically designed for measuring height.
